About

Hey, I’m Aimee.

I don’t have any fancy wine qualifications, sell courses, or write books; I love exploring new wines and learning as I go.

If you enjoy a relaxed, down-to-earth approach to wine, you’re in the right place. Grab a glass and come along for the journey.

About me..

I’ve always loved wine — from the £2.99 bottle I could just about afford at 18 to the legendary Pol Roger that Churchill drank daily. My tastes change with time; lately, it’s been English sparkling, but last month I couldn’t get enough of Rioja.

I’ve never been one for wine jargon — I don’t swirl and say, “on the nose I can smell…” or casually drop the word terroir into conversation.

Why a Wine Blog?

I started this wine blog because I wanted a space where wine didn’t feel intimidating or exclusive — just enjoyable.

The wine world can be a lot sometimes: endless jargon, tasting notes that sound like poetry, and experts who make you feel like you need a degree just to buy a bottle.

That’s never been my vibe.

I wanted somewhere for people like me — people who love wine, love learning wine tips, and love a good conversation, but don’t want any snobbery with their sip.

A place where it’s totally fine to say “this tastes nice” instead of pretending to pick up hints of forest floor at dawn.

So this blog became that space. A little corner of the internet for curious wine drinkers who just want to explore, have fun, and enjoy the journey without pressure. If you’ve ever stood in the supermarket aisle staring at 50 bottles thinking “err… that one looks pretty,” you’re my kind of person.
